Overview

Clar is a fully offline, self-contained desktop application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on external servers — because we have no servers to send it to.

Data Collection

We collect nothing. Clar does not:

• Transmit any data over the internet
• Connect to any remote servers (including our own)
• Collect analytics, telemetry, or usage statistics
• Track identifiers, crash reports, or diagnostics
• Use cookies or tracking technologies of any kind

Local Data Storage

All data you create within Clar — projects, contacts, audio files, metadata, and settings — is stored exclusively on your own device in a local SQLite database. You control this data entirely. We have no access to it.

• Windows: %APPDATA%\Clar\
• Linux: ~/.local/share/clar/

Internal Web Server

Clar may start a local web server on your device (bound to localhost) to facilitate audio file processing and playback. This server is entirely local — it does not accept connections from outside your machine and does not transmit data externally.

Background Processes

Clar installs no background processes, launch agents, daemons, or services. It runs only when you open it.

Third-Party Software

Clar is built with the following open-source libraries, which, to the best of our knowledge at the time of this release, do not engage in telemetry or data collection:

Lleu Labs Inc. makes no guarantees about the privacy practices of these projects beyond what was known at the time of release. We encourage you to review their respective policies if you have concerns.

Children's Privacy

Clar is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

If material changes are made to this policy in a future release, we will update the effective date and note the changes in the release notes. Since no data leaves your device, any such changes would be limited to updates in how Clar operates locally.
